Description
This program provides grants that may be used to assist local governments, etc. (serving populations of 10,000 or less) with the preliminary planning and development of USDA Rural Development Water & Waste Disposal direct loan/grant and loan guarantee program applications. Communities must have a median household income below the poverty line or less than 80% of the statewide metropolitan median household income. These grants may only be used to pay for part of the costs incurred to develop a complete application. Grants are available for up to $30,000 or 75% of costs. At least 25% matching funds are required.
