Description

Public organizations, soil and water conservation districts, regional planning commissions, watershed districts, municipalities, and incorporated non-profit organizations federally tax exempt [501(c)(3)] are eligible for these grants. Grants are awarded for watershed projects to restore and/or protect waterbodies impacted by nonpoint source pollution. Projects must be guided by Watershed-based Management Plans accepted by the department. 9 to 12 grants will be awarded in the $50,000 to $150,000 range per period.
