Description
This is a USDA Rural Development program to assist rural areas and towns (serving a population of 10,000 or less) to prepare or recover from an emergency that endangers the availability of safe, reliable drinking water. These funds may be used to construct waterline extensions, repair breaks/leaks in existing water distribution lines, and other related maintenance needed to replenish potable water. Water transmission line grants are available for up to $150,000 and water source grants are available up to $1,000,000.
