Description

This is a federal-state partnership program that is available to all wastewater systems in order to provide low-cost financing for water quality infrastructure projects. These loans may be used to construct municipal wastewater facilities, control nonpoint sources, build decentralized wastewater treatment systems, create green infrastructure, protect estuaries, and fund other water quality projects. In 2020, the state allocated $13,450,000 for wastewater infrastructure grants.

How To Apply

- Submit the completed CWSRF Notification of Intent to Borrow form via email to John True at the Maine DEP

- Submit the completed CWSRF Financial Application on the Maine Municipal Bond Bank website

- There are no application deadlines unless interested in a loan with additional subsidy
